The Taos Elementary Arts’ Visiting Artist Program has hosted more than sixty artists since it was started in 2004.
Its main goal is to make art and the creative process regular components of education by bringing painters, jewelers, writers, dancers, and other artists to the classrooms.
I have been part of it as a visiting writer since 2006. The books that appear below, all bilingual, have been written by elementary school students.

Projects by other artists
Twisted in Time, a digital short was produced as part of the Taos Municipal School’s Visiting Artist Program. Media Artist & instructor James D Cederlof lead Sam Balsomo’s fifth grade class through a process of telling a story with new media. Participants developed a story line, based on a book they had read as a class, wrote a script and played a key role in producing what you are viewing.
