About two years ago, I discovered a skincare company called Eight Saints. A friend of mine had gotten their free sample kit and couldn’t stop raving about it. The company name itself caught my attention so I decided to test the “saintliness” of their products since I’m always on the hunt for the next great cream or serum. You know, the eternal quest for the Fountain of Youth…
The serum
I started with the Seeking C Vitamin C Face Serum. The first thing I noticed was the scent—citrusy and very pleasant. I’m not a fan of strongly perfumed facial products, but this one is light, with a hint of orange. And being a tropical kinda gal, anything that smells like oranges or lemons instantly draws me in.

After about two weeks, I noticed the difference: my skin felt smoother and softer. I won’t claim it erased my wrinkles—let’s be honest, that’s what Botox is for—but I did look, if I may borrow that ever-so-overused word, radiant. Luminous. A quick search on the internet confirmed that vitamin C might well be responsible for this newfound glow.
The Cream
Once I had been properly beautified—beautificada, as we say in Spanglish— I moved on to their vitamin C-based face cream, the Cloud Whip Vitamin C Face Cream. I apply it at night, over the serum. Within a month, a few small dark spots (barely noticeable, but I knew they were there!) started to fade. And that, my friends, made me a fan right away.

The Brightening Treatment
Now I add another product between the serum and the cream: the Soulmate Brightening Treatment, which has helped even out my skin tone. It has moisturizing properties too. With these three products, my skin is definitely looking much better.

The Exfoliant
I also started using their Zen Out of Ten Face Scrub, a bamboo-based facial exfoliant. I only use it once in the morning, since I prefer a gentle soap at other times of day. Unlike other scrubs I’ve tried, it’s not irritating.

Of course, I also get chemical peels (VIP Peel is my favorite), fillers and other tricks because, truth be told, at nearly 59, maintenance takes a bit more effort than it did two or three decades ago.
In another post, I’ll tell you about their eye creams—those deserve their very own post.
Here is the company website.
Note: I don’t receive any commission for the products mentioned above. And, as you can see, my blog doesn’t even carry ads of any kind!
I just wanted to highlight the Eight Saints products because I’ve found them very effective and reasonably priced. Not a topic I usually write about, but some friends, fellow women in their fifties like me, suggested I should. So here you go!
